The Stihl 056 chainsaw was launched in 1980 . There are several different versions of the 056: 056 AVE, 056 AVSE, 056 AVSEQ, 056 Magnum AVE, and the 056 Magnum AVEQ. The AV is for anti-vibration, the E is for electronic, the Q is for the quick stop braking system, the S is for super, and of course the Magnum just means magnum.

The chainsaw has an excellent reputation for reliability, the 056 were one of the best chainsaws at the time, if not the best. They are very strong and fast, this mediumperformance model was popular with people who needed to use a chain saw as their daily work tool.
