This chainsaw was introduced in 2002 but it changed very quickly the next year into the Stihl MS 290. Having said that it changed is not strictly true as there are some design changes. It is as the Farm Boss version the best-selling Stihl in the USA. It is a midweight saw which can handle constant work and has become a firm favorite with farmers.
